To the consternation of all concerned …

In the runup to the US invasion of Iraq, the elites thought they had television and print news media in their hand. But, people found an alternate medium for revealing the truth – blogs. So, the elites had to destroy blogs. Because monitoring blogs is tiresome and inefficient and not very scalable, the elites created social networking sites. Social networking websites organize data better. Data is not just about what the slaves publish but also about the slaves themselves – personal data. This makes spying very easy and efficient. Security agencies can build application that run more efficient SQL queries and it scales well exponentially. The slaves themselves are also easily distracted and can be made to publish just self-indulgent than something that upsets the elites.
I stayed away from social networking sites. I did create a Twitter account. It was called HumanRightsUSA and it reported human rights violations by the United States police. You see the US State Department publishes an annual human rights report in which they fault other countries. The report does not cover the United States or its allies.
I created another Twitter account to use it as a bookmarking site. To report something and comment on it, it takes several tweets. It is miserable means to publish your thoughts. So, I am back to blogs. Here is the dump from my Twitter account.
