Is there sand in Taco Bell’s Taco Meat – A look back

In 2011, I took this screenshot of a Taco Bell’s webpage where they sought to reassure people whether there was sand in Taco Meat. They say it is not sand but “certified organic silicon dioxide.”

What if it is organic? Even straw eaten by cows is organic. Do you want to feed on fodder? [UPDATE (2013-09-16) Every time I take a crap, it is organic.]

And, “certified?” The FDA and USDA have long been a dens of corruption and wrongdoing, anything that THEY certified should automatically be viewed with suspicion.

Most of their quality standards are written by industry representatives rather than by ordinary human beings interested in eating food fit for human beings.
